Weighted blankets are made from cotton flannel material.  The measure of the blanket is 30x36 inches.  There are 5 weight tubes that fit into the blanket that you fill yourself.  Recommended fillers include rice or beans.  Sand is never recommended!  The removable tubes are used for several reasons including keeping shipping costs down, ability to wash the blanket and tubes, and finally, if an "accident" happens, simply dump the filler and start over.  The tubes are designed so that the filler can not readily slide from end to end.  Normal guidelines recommend 10% of body weight plus 1 pound.
