A few years ago I was approached by my neighbor who wanted me to start making weighted vests and blankets for children with autism.  She said it would be a great addition to my quilts and other crafts.  Between that and neighbors coming to me for last minute teacher gifts, I figured I might just be onto something!  All of our items are made with love by me.  My sewing room now has a comfortable niche in the corner of the basement where I can oversee my little guy's Star Wars adventures.  I enjoy connecting with my customers and continually find a great deal of satisfaction in hearing from customers and their families that have been welcomed into our lives.  Some of the cool projects I have done recently are a weighted blanket for a mom who could not afford one but asked for one on a giving tree for the holidays, a t-shirt/photo quilt for cheerleading coach from the team, and my personal favorite - a photo quilt with all pictures of Barry Manilow for a Fanilow with Down's Syndrome.  (I know, I sang Copa Cabana for a few weeks so go ahead and sing along...)  So, please sit back, shop, and know that here you are an individual and I do mean it when I invite you to contact me with special requests.
